Bullets Tame The Lions For A Shot At The Bowl |
On
Sunday Bullets
went on their
third away trip
in a row to
their old rival
the Birmingham
lions. In
2004/05 the
Lions knocked
out the Bullets
in the 2nd round 38 – 10 in
a game that
showed the
Bullets what it
would take to
make it to a
final. Then in
2005/06 the
Bullets found
Birmingham in
their regular
season schedule.
They were ready
for revenge,
however even
though they
started fast
Birmingham again
showed that it
takes 4 quarters
to win a
football game
pulling it back
with interest
winning 47 – 20.
This season the
Birmingham team
were seen as a
‘lesser’ team by
outsiders,
however within
the team they
had belief and
as always a
determination
that is second
to none. The
week before
while the
Bullets were
taking on the
Blades, the
Lions went to
play the
southern
favourites
Southampton
Stags. A lot of
people thought
that after the
early season
victory by the
Stags (30-14)
that the Stags
were bound for
the southern
final.
Birmingham
prepared as they
always do and
came out
roaring. They
pulled off a
great victory
13-7 to face
Bristol at their
home ground. The
game was a very
hard hitting
affair that
could have gone
either way.
Birmingham
failed a couple
of redzone
attempts and won
the battle in
the first
quarter, but
Bristol came
back hard in the Second and Third
to take a two
score lead, and
just when
Bristol thought
that were
pulling away
Birmingham
showed their
never give up
attitude pulling
a score back in
the fourth, but
the clock was
Bristol’s friend
as they ran the
ball out for
their first ever
southern final
victory and a
ticket to the
Bowl! The bowl
is on March 25th at Butts
Stadium. This
Final is for all
Bullets, past
and present so
hopefully see as
many there as
possible.
MVP’s were:
- Overall MVP - "Dangerous" Dave Egbosimba & James "GB Jimmy" Carter
- Offensive MVP - Alex "A-bomb" Gillespie
- Defensive MVP - Kirk "Killa" Dunn
- Rookie MVP - Simba "I Dont Need No Stinkin' Helmet" Chimimba

What Would You Take To A Fight, Bullets Or Blades? |
The 2006/07
Bullets had a
chance to make
history when
they travelled
to Essex to tae on the No 1
ranked Essex
Blades in the 2nd round of the
play offs. Essex
had played 9
games and had
only let in 33
points in total.
However the
Bullets offense
was on fire,
averaging 33
points per game
since the
Christmas game.
The Essex
offense was not
looking to take
a back seat
however the new
and improved
post Christmas
defense were
more than up to
the challenge.
The Bullets
offense decided
to concentrate
on their running
attack with
great
success. The
Bullets ran for
400 yards and 6
Touchdowns on
the way to their
first victory
in club history
in the 2nd round of the
play offs.
MVP’s were:
- Overall MVP - Kirk "Killa" Dunn
- Offensive MVP - Alex "A-bomb" Gillespie
- Defensive MVP - Will "The Terrier" North
- Rookie MVP - Chris "Silverfox" Watts

The Rookie
Gabriel Sey #22,
the second year
back Mike Adams
#30, with the
third year
veteran Dave
Egbosimba #24.

Bristol Superbowl Party A Huge Sucess |
The
Bullets and
Comets
worked very
hard to pull
off a very
successful
Superbowl
party in
Versa on
Sunday. The
night saw
nearly 200
people enjoy
not only
watching the
Colts beat
the Bears
but joining
in games,
competitions,
and
considerable
amounts of
drinking.
The Bullets
would like
to thank the
Bristol
University
Barracudas,
Bristol
Aztecs, and
the Bristol
University
Cheerleaders
(UBCS) for
their
support
during the
event. This
was the
first step
in bringing
the Bristol
American
Football and
Cheerleading
family
together and
it was a
great success. The
Bullets
organisation
hopes that
this is just
the
beginning.
Work has
already
started on
the new
joint party
as well as
next years
Superbowl
party which
is set to be
bigger and
better.
